Purchase Proxy Guide

Purchase a residential proxy on anyIP

This walkthrough takes you from a signed-in anyip.io account to a working proxy credential you can paste into AssumeIP.

1

Step 1

Open the Plans page

Sign in at anyip.io and click Plans in the left panel.

2

Step 2

Pick the Micro plan (as example, you can choose a different plan)

Select the Micro plan — $5/GB at $25 per month — a good starting point. anyIP bills by traffic, so you can move to a bigger plan later if you need more data.

3

Step 3

Make the payment

Complete the checkout for the plan you selected. Your account is credited once the payment goes through.

4

Step 4

Open the Proxies page

Back in the dashboard, click Proxies in the left panel.

5

Step 5

Define profile

Click Add profile on the Proxies page, then fill in the form as follows:

  • Profile name: a unique name to identify the profile
  • Proxy type: Residential
  • Authentication method: Username + Password
  • Country: United States
  • State or region: California
  • City: Random (or Los Angeles)
  • ISP: CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS INC (or another home ISP)
  • Session type: Sticky
  • Duration: 7 — with a sticky session the IP can remain unchanged for up to 7 days
  • Proxy protocol: SOCKS5

Click Save. A new profile is generated, and the bottom-right section displays the proxy information: split it into the four values — host, port, username and password. Note that the username is special: it embeds your profile settings as comma-separated parameters, similar to user_cb25b98453,sesstime_10080,session_f14cyud6dr — use the whole string as the username, exactly as shown.

Then add it to AssumeIP

Open AssumeIP, add a new destination, and paste the four values: proxy server, port, username and password. AssumeIP tests the connection and shows you its exit IP and country, so you know it works before you rely on it.

Tip

With anyIP, the host you enter is anyIP's gateway address, not your final IP. The actual exit IP is assigned on the fly once you connect, based on your profile settings (location, ISP, session type).

What the credential looks like
Host: 203.0.113.87
Port: 1080
Username: user_**********,sesstime_10080,session_************
Password: ***************

Sample values only, with the username and password masked — yours will differ.
