Purchase a static residential proxy on SmartProxy

This walkthrough takes you from a signed-in smartproxy.org account to a working proxy credential you can paste into AssumeIP.

Step 1

Open the Static Residential Proxy product

Sign in at smartproxy.org, locate Static Residential Proxy in the product list, and select its pricing link or Buy Now action. Confirm the page title refers to Static Residential Proxy.

Choose the 30-day plan (as example, you can choose a different plan)

Select 30 Days and change the IP Count field to 1. Move focus out of the field so the total recalculates, then select Buy Now to continue to the signed-in plan builder.

Step 3

Reconfirm the plan in the dashboard

The dashboard may reset to its default plan. Select 30 Days again, choose Custom under Number of IPs, and enter 1. Verify the summary shows 1 IP (about $10 for 30 days at the time of writing).

Step 4

Add your IP location and select the ASN

Configure the IP location for your plan:

  • Location: under Choose IP Locations, find United States (or the country you want to appear from) and select Add
  • ASN: the home ISP your IP will belong to — choose Random for any currently available ASN, or a specific ISP such as Cox Communications Inc. (22773)
  • Order summary: verify it still shows your country, 1 IP and 30 Days

Then click Buy Now.

Step 5

Complete the payment

On the Select Payment method page, scroll down and pick Apple Pay. It may be offered through more than one processor with different fee labels (for example $0 vs 4.50% + $0.20) — choose the cheaper one. Select Continue to Pay, approve the Apple Pay sheet, and complete the checkout. Your IP is provisioned once payment and activation complete.

Step 6

Verify your new IP

Open Static Residential Proxy → IP Management and confirm your new IP row shows Valid status. Note the IP address, port, region, ASN and expiration date — if you targeted a specific ISP, confirm it appears in the ASN column.

Create a proxy sub-account

In IP Management, select Add Sub-Account and create a unique username and strong password — these become your proxy login. If a suitable enabled sub-account already exists, reuse it instead of creating another.

Generate the proxy

Open Proxy Setup and use the Proxy Generator: leave Code Language set to General, select your sub-account and your new IP, then select Generate Proxy. Copy the four values it produces — proxy server, port, username and password.

Then add it to AssumeIP

Open AssumeIP, add a new destination, and paste the four values: proxy server, port, username and password. AssumeIP tests the connection and shows you its exit IP and country, so you know it works before you rely on it.

Tip

With SmartProxy, the proxy server you enter is the proxy IP itself — it is also your exit IP, and it stays the same (static) for the life of your plan.
